Designing for Data Trust: An interactive workshop

  • AcademyXi Level 3, 45 Exhibition St Melbourne VIC 3000 (map)

Amidst evolving data regulations, shifting consumer attitudes and behaviours, and an accelerated pace of technological change, data integrity has never been more important.

Yet most organisations’ attempts to combat consumer distrust have failed. The design patterns relied on to date have negatively impacted the customer experience, resulting in deep frustration and multi-billion dollar lawsuits.

For many businesses, a consumer’s inability to trust how their data is being sourced, collected, and used presents challenges rather than opportunities to deliver new customer and business value. But it doesn’t have to be this way.

At our workshop, Designing for Data Trust, Nathan Kinch, Partner of >X and author of Designing for Trust: The Data Transparency Playbook will explore:

  • Behavioural, technological and regulatory trends of how personal data is used in the digital economy
  • An introduction to ‘Data Trust by Design’ and some of the tools you can use
  • A hands-on activity where you’ll work on creating a simple experience that asks for people to access their data
  • Testing, and sharing learnings from your prototype
